A dark and exuberant spin on our Pure Sapphire A11, this striking piece was designed and requested of us by Producer Michael himself. This is his statement piece.
Just like the Royal Blue Sapphire A11, it will be made in extremely limited quantities and will be discontinued after a period of time.
This is a Special Edition, not a Limited Edition - we don't do those.
DLC stands for Diamond-like Carbon. This material is not any normal black paint: it’s the most durable black coating that exists in the watchmaking industry. It's as hard as diamond.
The material and process to perfectly coat the dial and movement is significantly more expensive than other forms of plating and will guarantee a perfect deep black color for years to come.
Our A11 models have each been tested to meet practical use scenarios and must exceed a minimum standard before passing. With our case and case back design, getting the pieces to be remotely close to that standard has been a huge challenge.
With a little help from our partners, we've now managed to push the envelope even further. Subtle engineering improvements have been made to the internal connections and to the seals that keep the watch air and water tight.
Now this piece achieves the best possible performance, without sacrificing on design.
The A11-01SE has never before been offered to the general public. This means that an incredibly low number of these pieces have been ordered and made. There are very few of these out in the wild.
